neologize

nēˈäləˌjīz (verb) | We won’t deny it, we have an obsession with words about words, and neologize seems to be our favorite. Neologize is defined as the act of creating new words or assigning alternate meanings to existing words. On a superficial basis, we have all executed this act in childhood. We loved to create code names and secret passages of language only our most beloved ones understood by our permission. It is also fair to assume that most of us have neologized a specific person’s name, who we secretly disliked or loved growing up. Although neologize’s aesthetic is quite serious, its meaning holds playful and creative sentiments.
